The album was solely written, produced and recorded by Benjamin in a number of different locations over the space of a year.<\/p>\n<p>The follow up is the &#8216;The Great Confuso&#8217; EP, recorded at the end of summer 2015.\u00a0Consisting of the epic\u00a0 title track,\u00a0which runs at over 18 minutes in three parts\u00a0(featuring guest vocals from\u00a0Throbbing Gristle\/Psychic TV\u00a0legend\u00a0Genesis P-Orridge), and three previously released\u00a0&#8216;Dumb Flesh&#8217;\u00a0remixes &#8211; <em>Dead Format<\/em>, <em>Detritus<\/em> &amp; <em>No Lite<\/em> remixed by\u00a0Dalhous,\u00a0Konx-Om-Pax\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Geneses P-Orridge\u00a0respectively. Whatever. In the greatest traditions of folklore,\u00a0Blanck Mass\u00a0summons forth the entity sardonically named\u00a0&#8216;The Great Confuso&#8217;\u00a0to embody the taunting cruelty of death, and the unknowable beyond. This is the ambitious and gloriously uncomfortable aural propagation of looming disaster.<\/p>\n<p>Dark, glorious and by turn pulverizing industrial metal and hypnotic synth-wash soundscape, this is Power\u0092s most thrilling work to date. The obsession with human frailty so central to his previous work is focused here on the themes of confusion, anger and surrender. If\u00a0&#8216;Dumb Flesh&#8217;\u00a0depicted the frailty of the human body, this EP illustrates the fragility of the human mind.
