Earlier this week at the\u00a0Winter Garden Theatre, we attended\u00a0the Opening Night\u00a0performance\u00a0of\u00a0Dee Snider\u2019s Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll Christmas Tale<\/a>,\u00a0presented by Revonoy Productions and Starvox Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Legendary rock star and the creator and narrator of the show\u00a0Dee Snider (yep, he’s the lead singer from Twisted Sister), along with co-star and Grammy-Award winning singer\u00a0Taylor\u00a0Dayne, walked the red carpet before hitting the stage.<\/p>\n

It was a packed theatre with\u00a0over 500 guests, who came to see the\u00a0comedic holiday\u00a0musical\u00a0that tells the story of a heavy metal\u00a0band\u00a0who are forever stuck in the 80s.\u00a0To achieve fame, they make a deal with the devil which\u00a0leaves them only able to sing head-banging Christmas carols. It’s pretty much what you’d expect at this type of show –\u00a0nothing sophisticated or deep here, but it’s still entertaining enough to keep your attention.<\/p>\n

Some of the celebrities that attended the red carpet opening night were\u00a0Barenaked Ladies\u00a0lead guitarist\u00a0Ed Robertson (didn’t he also perform at the Andy Kim concert that night as well?),\u00a0actors\u00a0Annie Murphy\u00a0(from Schitt’s Creek),\u00a0Ashleigh Rains\u00a0(from My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2),\u00a0Meghan Heffern\u00a0( from Backpackers),\u00a0Angela Asher (from\u00a0Hard Rock Medical),\u00a0Rachael Ancheril\u00a0(from\u00a0Rookie Blue),\u00a0Arwen Humphreys,\u00a0Mouna Traore, and Lachlan Murdoch\u00a0(all three are from\u00a0Murdoch Mysteries),\u00a0Suresh John\u00a0(from Mr. D),\u00a0\u00a0Chloe Wilde (E! Canada\u00a0host) and\u00a0Jennifer Valentyne (Breakfast Television Toronto\u00a0host).<\/p>\n
