Red Bull just released \u0093Crawlr\u0094 from visionary electronic musician Richie Hawtin, under his 80XX alias. The track is the 15th from the 20 Before 16 music series, and can be streamed and downloaded now at redbull.com\/20before16<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since starting Plus 8 Records at the turn of the \u009190s, Richie Hawtin has shaped not just the sound of electronic music, but also the culture and industry around it, like few others. He developed the tool that went on to change the art of DJing (Final Scratch), established a seminal club night in Ibiza (ENTER.), built a veritable techno empire (M_nus), and most importantly, released some of the most memorable music in techno history. Now the latter doesn\u0092t happen all too often these days, so we\u0092re even more excited to present a brand new recording under a new alias, 80XX. \u0091Crawlr\u0092 is one of four 80XX tracks recorded in Berlin this year to coincide with the release of Hawtin\u0092’s new album, ‘From My Mind To Yours’ \u2013 a raw banger that channels the energy of the early \u009190s while demonstrating how this Red Bull Music Academy lecturer keeps his eyes firmly on the future.<\/p>\n

The 20 Before 16 music series features 20 exclusive tracks released over 20 days from artists across the Red Bull network–Red Bull Sound Select, Red Bull Records, Red Bull Studios and Red Bull Music Academy. The series kicked off on December 1 with a track from Red Bull Records artist AWOLNATION and has included standout songs from Red Bull Sound Select artist Gallant and his collaboration with Grammy-winning artist and producer James Fauntleroy; LA-based producer and former Red Bull Music Academy alumnus TOKiMONSTA and her most recent collaboration with Anderson .Paak; Kelela\u0092s current single \u0093Rewind\u0094 remixed featuring MC Bin Laden; the Skrillex remix of Torro Torro\u0092s \u0093Make A Move\u0094 and more.<\/p>\n

All new songs can be streamed starting at 12pm EST each day at\u00a0redbull.com\/20before16<\/a>, and each track will also be available as a download with 1,000 digital copies available.<\/p>\n
