On their second public track, the duo dip into territory reminiscent of Deftones at their most exploratory (think\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/parachutepublicity.us1.list-manage1.com\/track\/click?u=fe30c7a76e9ceedd6ebd22a3f&amp;id=0193ca74ae&amp;e=53fff058cd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\">&#8220;Teenager&#8221;<\/a>) before sending tremors through the song&#8217;s core with tremolo-picked guitar leads \u00e0 la the most dramatic pieces from Explosions In The Sky.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Michael McAndrew, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelineofbestfit.com\/new-music\/discovery\/lying-light-in-the-quiet-carrion?mc_cid=b6639d90af&amp;mc_eid=53fff058cd\" target=\"_blank\">The Line of Best Fit<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Recovery,&#8217; the duo\u2019s debut album, was written as a series of recorded improvisations in Stooshinoff\u2019s home studio during the summer of 2015. It is a record about the moments in which it was written: an impulsive expression of each musician\u2019s emotions, and a conscious exploration of texture and space. Inspired by artists such as\u00a0cLOUDDEAD\u00a0and\u00a0Bjork, the album hints at pop elements while maintaining a clear distance from the mainstream.
