The idea was to show the skin out of context, as flesh, sort of\u00a0alien. The way it turned out you don&#8217;t know whether it&#8217;s hot or gross, which is basically how I feel about everything.&#8221;<\/em> \u00a0Having spent the year writing new material in Montreal and sharing stages with Mykki Blanco, Purity Ring and Prince Rama, this is a first glimpse into what might be coming next. The track features production by Doldrums touring member Guy Dallas, who also produced <em>She Is The Wave<\/em> (from the debut album &#8216;Lesser Evil&#8217; and released as a single with a remix from Black Dice) .<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Nnzv7LaVSuk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Doldrums also shared the following note:\u00a0<em>&#8220;We can&#8217;t tell you any details about further releases, but we are pleased to announce a very special online \/ teleportation event happening this autumn that we are looking for people from anywhere in the world \/ of any description to be a part of. Participants will be spectators to an online video performance and asked to use their webcams to participate. Whether you are drawing in your bedroom by yourself in Montreal or having an ayahuasca bath with your crew on Jupiter, we want you!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h5>More about Doldrums?<\/h5>\n<p>Doldrums appeared in 2010 with a series of\u00a0noisy, percussion heavy tracks and collaged videos that challenged a purely digital\u00a0identity.\u00a0 Since then the project has oscillating between pop and noise, following singer\u00a0Airick Woodhead through 2 LPs, 7 singles \/ EPS, \u00a0video projects, 2 Boiler Room performances and on the road with an extended live band that includes producer Guy Dallas, drummer Steven Foster and\u00a0Airick&#8217;s brother Daniel of Moon King.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">2013&#8217;s &#8216;Lesser Evil&#8217;\u00a0was released on Arbutus Records, a community which Pitchfork described as &#8220;their sounds may be disparate, but they&#8217;re united by their desire to tackle questions of identity from unique and exciting perspectives&#8221;.
