Show #714 of the long-running\u00a0Wavelength Music Series<\/a>\u00a0takes over the collectively run DIY bike shop\u00a0Bike Pirates<\/a>, in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood, for the November installement of the Wavelength Monthly Series. Bike Pirates makes its space available for local non-profit organizations such as Wavelength, and we are happy to have the opportunity to present an All Ages show, events which are becoming increasingly rare in Toronto.<\/p>\n

The Nov. 26 line-up, curated by Wavelength programmer Adam Bradley, showcases emerging electronic music from the Toronto underground, touching on electro-pop, hip-hop, and ambient\/experimental music.<\/p>\n

Cool-as-ice synth\/bass post-punk duo\u00a0Ice Cream<\/a>\u00a0(Carlyn Bezic & Amanda Crist) headline the bill, playing songs off their stellar 2016 full-length,\u00a0Love, Ice Cream<\/em>\u00a0(on the Bad Actors label). We are excited to present Filipina-Canadian rapper\u00a0Han Han<\/a>, who rhymes in Tagalog, Cebuano, and English, and will be joined by members of Filipina dance group\u00a0HATAW<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Recent Vancouver expat\u00a0Plazas<\/a>\u00a0(aka Savana Salloum-Hedgecock) will unveil her dreamy, danceable synth-pop, while the show will be opened by solo artist\u00a0B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte<\/a>, whose dark ambient electronica is forged from creative voice samples and cracked beats. DJ Little Kicks (aka Terri Rodak) of dance parties\u00a0Synthesexer<\/a>\u00a0and Pop Lobster will spin between sets, and General Chaos Visuals will provide his trademark psychedelic projections.<\/p>\n
