The track is available to stream via the ULTRAS&#8217;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/t.ymlp254.com\/hmusuacaebuwbalaubwaaawquw\/click.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Soundcloud page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>ULTRAS\u2019 eclectic take on modern pop music is as challenging as it is rewarding; a twelve track record that confronts the listener sonically and lyrically, resulting in the creation of a sound that has the ability to reach euphoric highs as well as melancholic lows.<\/p>\n<p>Started on the back of the break of up of his former band, cult pop act\u00a0Over the Wall, ULTRAS set about making a record with the help of six separate producers, an approach heavily inspired by Gav\u2019s love of hip-hop mixtapes. This bold approach has helped to build a sound full of diversity, from the aforementioned\u00a0<i>You&#8217;ve a Foul Mouth John Barleycorn<\/i>\u00a0to the warm, emotional, mournful lament on\u00a0<i>Team Handed<\/i>, which premiered on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/t.ymlp254.com\/hmuseakaebuwbavaubwadawquw\/click.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clash<\/a>\u00a0and sees Gav reunited with former Over the Wall partner\u00a0Ben Hillman.\u00a0Odd-pop maestro\u00a0Jonnie Common\u00a0oversaw the chopped up samples and bass of\u00a0<i>Stepping Out<\/i>, while on\u00a0<i>This Is Where I Fall<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Path To Getting Paid<\/i>,\u00a0we are hit with the big, alternative rock sounds and tight rhythms produced by\u00a0Joe Cormack, renowned for his work with\u00a0Pictish Trail. Here, ULTRAS have created a cacophony of rich soundscapes, emotionally demanding your attention throughout due to its rousing, passionate and, at times, witty take on modern life and culture.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the project as\u00a0<i>\u201cviolent pop for the patronised\u201d<\/i>\u00a0the ULTRAS&#8217; live act sees Prentice (beats, guitar, keyboard, vocals), joined by\u00a0Matt Clark\u00a0(guitar, bass) and\u00a0Roy Mohan Shearer\u00a0(drums, keyboard). The project has already gained support from a number of notable music industry figures with coverage coming from\u00a0Simon Raymonde\u00a0and\u00a0Jim Gellatly\u00a0on\u00a0Amazing Radio,\u00a0Tom Robinson\u2019s\u00a0BBC Radio 6\u00a0show,\u00a0Vic Galloway\u00a0on\u00a0BBC Radio Scotland\u00a0as well as\u00a0Goldflakepaint,\u00a0Song by Toad\u00a0and\u00a0Podcart.
