Shot primarily at New York&#8217;s Grand Central station, Little &#8216;Eva&#8217; is at the center of this story, with numerous people involved in bringing it to fruition, including Sergey Kiselyov, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2047156\/?ref_=nmmi_mi_nm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fedor Lyass<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm6770510\/?ref_=nv_sr_2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Shatravka<\/a> and Sasha Nochin. The track is lifted from their self-titled album. The police came over a couple of times to find out what was going on, but nothing serious transpired,&#8221;<\/em> says Vladimiir Komarov. <em>&#8220;Michael Shatravka made an invaluable contribution to this video with his skills and enthusiasm, while Sasha Nochin worked some magic, taking hours of different video footage and creating a story from all of this. Also great great great thanks to my beautiful Eva &#8211; she is the real star of this video.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The two producers &#8211;\u00a0Vladimir Komarov\u00a0and\u00a0Atsuo Matsumoto\u00a0&#8211; have put their minds, hearts and talents together to weave together this collection of 11 tracks, which has received loud\u00a0praise by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamesatkin.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Atkin<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0EMF fame, among others.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been so looking forward to this musical offering from The Dayoffs, having followed their progress from the fruition of this new project.\u00a0These guys have seriously got their song writing and production skills nailed, Vladimir and Atsuo have created a truly stunning album that will no doubtable be on everyone&#8217;s turntables by the end of the year,&#8221;<\/em> says Atkin.<\/p>\n<p>Matsumoto and Komarov\u00a0met each other while working in a Manhattan-based recording studio. Always busy working on other people&#8217;s music, Vladimir and Atsuo recorded some instrumental improvisations during studio downtime, gathering enough material for a debut LP. Hence, their name The Dayoffs \u2013 from constant lack of studio time for their own music.<\/p>\n<p>The Dayoffs is a rock duo with an elastic, transparent and multilayered sound and catchy riffs and hooks due to some solid pop sensibilities. The band&#8217;s debut offering is sure to please fans of\u00a0Teenage Fanclub, The Boo Radleys, Ash, Ultra Vivid Scene, and\u00a0PUNK TV, which Dayoffs&#8217; own Vladimir Komarov himself had founded.<\/p>\n<p>Vladimir Komarov is a musician, sound producer, DJ, and journalist and otherwise known as a pioneer of Russian shoegaze and indietronica. While his Russian music projects Hot Zex\u00a0and Punk TV\u00a0became staples of the nascent Russian indie rock scene, they were also well-received abroad.\u00a0Atsuo Matsumoto is a Japanese musician and sound engineer and, apart from The Dayoffs, he is a member of Andy Chase&#8217;s Camera2 band.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This is a rock album. Speedy, noisy but lyrical \u2013 as guitar as could be. We did this on purpose. It was like playing with old toys \u2013 sweet, nostalgic and big fun. Maybe too sweet sometimes \u2013 but I don&#8217;t mind. These songs came out of nowhere, uncalculated and with a lot of improvisation,&#8221;<\/em> explains Vladimir Komarov.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;It took us more than two years to complete this 30-minute record as we are perfectionists. Every time I listen to it, I have nothing I&#8217;d like to add.
