From supporting names such as Car Seat Headrest and Parquet Courts, to local friends Pip Blom, and indie legends The Cribs, the band have absorbed all the skill that surrounds them and poured it into the new record. This strain of \u2018slacker\u2019 rock is steadfast, unwavering, and resolute in its own identity. Tracks like <em>Smurf<\/em> and the thundering <em>But Why<\/em> could effortlessly slip themselves into any Pavement fan\u2019s record collection as they celebrate their influences in a way that is both familiar and new. The 5-am stumbling sensation of \u2018Legless\u2019 later on in the record captures a dogged yet bewildered atmosphere of a come-down with Willem Smit reassuring the listener to \u201cembrace your fate and crawl on, you\u2019ll be back on your feet\u2019.
