Here the young performer\/choreographer\u00a0Mercedes Dassy\u00a0transposes fragments of\u00a0I-Clit &#8211;\u00a0her debut sold-out solo\u00a0performance &#8211; in between improvised transcendences.\u00a0<em>No Trepidation<\/em> is a fast-paced post-punk\/electronic hybrid and a punch in the\u00a0face of conformity, formatting and self-censorship.<\/p>\n<p>I-Clit&#8217;s modern, feminist manifest melts\u00a0perfectly\u00a0into\u00a0<em>No Trepidation<\/em>, a song about the domestication of the arts, written and sung by Geoffroy Mugwump&#8230;both pieces share many common themes: emancipation, oppression, domination, exploitation, censorship, struggle and weakness.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes Dassy\u00a0delivers a stunning solo performance, magnificently arranged around lights, images and music. Music-wise it spans a breadth of influences from the Interzone between Post-Punk, Indie Pop, Psych &amp; Noise while Geoffroy Mugwump lays down conscious, parlando-style, lyrics over nine songs &#8221;soundtracking\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">our torments in the Age of Laissez-Faire and Aestheticisation&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&#8216;Drape&#8217; is the follow-up to 2015&#8217;s debut studio album &#8216;Unspell&#8217;, which boasted many guest vocalists, garnered\u00a0media plaudits across the board internationally and was supported with live appearances at Benelux, French, UK and Dutch festivals &amp; venues.<\/p>\n<p>Taking it further and\u00a0morphing\u00a0into a full live band with new members,\u00a0Mugwump\u00a0released the &#8216;Metempsycho EP&#8217; in November 2016 on which\u00a0Geoffroy\u00a0made his singing debut.
