{"id":29470,"date":"2018-08-16T12:15:59","date_gmt":"2018-08-16T16:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/?p=29470"},"modified":"2019-05-31T12:32:44","modified_gmt":"2019-05-31T16:32:44","slug":"gill-bondy-share-new-track-sick-by-the-sea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/?p=29470","title":{"rendered":"Gill Bondy share new track &#8216;Sick By The Sea&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"normal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Last month, multi-instrumentalists, composers and producers, Gill Bondy, shared their debut single 12 days, which Earmilk<i> <\/i>called, <em>&#8220;a classic dream-pop ballad drenched in reverb, heavy swinged out drum patterns, and airy keyboard melody&#8230;&#8221;<\/em> Now, the band have shared their latest single <em>\u0093Sick By The Sea<\/em><b>\u0094<\/b> across all digital service providers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\"><span lang=\"EN\"><em>Sick By The Sea<\/em> was originally written by Stewart on his parents\u0092 piano during a visit to their coastal home in Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, and the track was left abandoned for two years before later revisiting it with Singh.\u00a0 The mood is solitary, escapist, and restless, despite its layered orchestral moments and the overall theme illustrates a notion that one can\u0092t fix their problems by simply moving locations and shifting their surroundings. Multi-instrumentalists, composers, and producers Hayden Stewart and Binod Singh first met as children along the shores of the Bruce Peninsula in rural Canada. After drifting apart as teenagers, Binod studied at Boston&#8217;s Berklee School of Music and toured with the indie rock band Art Decade. Meanwhile, Hayden dove deep into the multi-member outfit First Rate People, who were championed by <i>Pitchfork <\/i>and toured as support for Born Ruffians. The two eventually reconnected in their mid-twenties over their love of songwriting and studio experimentation, a reunion that would lead to their first recordings as a duo.
