Speaking on <em>Believe It<\/em>, the band explain;\u00a0<em>\u201cit\u2019s about types of therapy, seen\u00a0from a shifting perspective of those passionate towards it, those skeptical of it, and those out to make money from it. The landscape has drastically changed over the past decade, contemporaries have come and gone, consumerism constantly evolving but White Lies fans have remained as fervent and committed as ever both in the UK and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>As the band explains; <em>\u201cThis is a mile stone record for White Lies. It marks our decade as a band, which has pushed us to expand our sound and reach new territory artistically &#8211; it marks the start of a new and exciting chapter for us.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Written and recorded on both sides of the Atlantic (guitarist and vocalist Harry McVeigh resides in San Francisco) the band paired up with Ed Buller, engineer James Brown (Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters) in Los Angeles and London and saw Alan Moulder on mixing duties. Bolder than previous outings,\u00a0Five\u00a0arrives spanning new creative heights amidst an ever-evolving musical backdrop providing an insightful, intimate, and at times very personal slant lyrically.
