You can take a listen to the\u00a0Biosphere remix of The Sunset Passage via YouTube below.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ygTUDgh73t8?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>From electronic music pioneers like Biosphere<b>\u00a0<\/b>to Slowdive&#8217;s Simon Scott to Swedish techno auteur Acronym, each of the eight producers on &#8216;Glider\u00a010: Reworks&#8217; brings a unique perspective to the source material. Composer Beno\u00eet Pioulard, a frequent collaborator with Irisarri, adds a new density and wistful pathos to the once sparse <em>Further Away<\/em>. In the hands of Spanish ambient artist Warmth, the calming pulse of <em>A Fractured Smile<\/em> is inverted to a swirling bath of texture and light. Pop Ambient veterans Leandro Fresco and Markus Guentner both distill their reworks (<em>Without Motion<\/em> and <em>Dour)\u00a0<\/em>into pure ethereal bliss. The two versions of &#8216;Glider&#8221;s opening track, <em>At First Touch<\/em>, range from Yagya&#8217;s immersive techno vista to an all but indiscernible mirage by Simon Scott. No matter the approach, the eight reworks featured here feel wholly contained in the singular ecosystem The Sight Below crafted 10 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>When &#8216;<em>Glider&#8217;<\/em> was first released, it felt like a natural phenomenon captured and recreated with sheets of astral guitar and electronic whispers. The album is part of a long continuum of ambient-inspired musicians pushing at the edges of Brian Eno&#8217;s iconic idea, incorporating elements of drone, minimalism, shoegaze, and techno with transformative effects.
