The Story of CREEM Magazine,&#8217; has been announced for March 10&nbsp;at&nbsp;SXSW&nbsp;in&nbsp;Austin, TX. The documentary was directed by Scott Crawford (Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington D.C),  and it&#8217;s a gritty, no holds barred look at Detroit\u2019s legendary CREEM Magazine and the unruly band of misfits that made it possible.&nbsp;See below for all announced screening dates. Watch the trailer for the film via Vimeo below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/317849064\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For two decades, CREEM Magazine broke industry barriers, rattled the cages of artists and bands alike and informed readers about rock \u2018n roll music in a way that hasn\u2019t been replicated since.&nbsp;Barry Kramer&nbsp;first published&nbsp;<em>CREEM<\/em>&nbsp;in 1969, and his son&nbsp;JJ Kramer&nbsp;produced the documentary alongside Jaan Uhelszki and New Rose Films in 2019. The film is directed by&nbsp;Scott Crawford&nbsp;(who also directed the critically-acclaimed documentary&nbsp;&#8216;Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington D.C<strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8216;)<\/em>&nbsp;and explores the magazine\u2019s humble beginnings in Detroit\u2019s Cass Corridor in the late 1960\u2019s to becoming a national powerhouse publication. Later it takes viewers through the tragic and untimely death of its publisher Barry Kramer and its most famous alum&nbsp;Lester Bangs. CREEM\u2019s newsroom could be as wild and unruly as the music it covered and the oftentimes controversial interviews it featured with artists like&nbsp;Iggy Pop, MC5, Lou Reid, J.
