Chicago’s great post-punk outfit\u00a0Walking Bicycles are getting ready for the release of\u00a0‘Chooch’\u00a0(pre-order<\/a>,\u00a0out 4\/26 via Highwheel Records),\u00a0their first new album since 2014’s cacophonous\u00a0‘To Him That Wills The Way’<\/a>. By definition, a chooch is a slang term for an idiot, jackass and the like…\u00a0on\u00a0‘Chooch’\u00a0<\/em>(their fifth full-length),\u00a0<\/em>Walking Bicycles use a series of vignettes to highlight the various chooches of the world: the jackasses, the idiots, and every person in between who continues to abuse their power and act inappropriately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, the band have shared the album’s lead single\u00a0Fat Cat<\/em>, a punishing track\u00a0about the haves vs have nots of the world, has now been followed by\u00a0ESP<\/em>, a song that’s\u00a0about getting into peoples’ heads and the dark side of conspiracy theories or false idolatry.
