The EP title is a direct quote from poet Charles Bukowski.&nbsp;<em>\u201c\u2018I Can Fool Anybody In This Town\u2019 is the by-product of our urge to get music out into the world,&nbsp;we have been playing these songs for over a year now and it\u2019s a huge weight off to be able release them,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;the band shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liily\u2019s music draws from the jagged stimuli of their upbringings to make something distinctly Los Angeles in 2019. With influences from Jane\u2019s Addiction and Rage Against the Machine, it\u2019s suburban valley music from the future, even as it calls back to 1991. The EP also includes their latest single <em>Sepulveda Basin<\/em> and <em>Sold<\/em> &#8211; which received airplay from&nbsp;BBC Radio 1&#8217;s Jack Saunders&nbsp;&#8211; as well as <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/prescriptionpr.cmail19.com\/t\/j-l-xdkdudl-ejlihlkhu-k\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Toro<\/em><\/a>, the video for which has been viewed over&nbsp;1M times on YouTube.&nbsp;<em>Toro<\/em> in particular&nbsp;stems from a time when the band was&nbsp;<em>\u201cfrustrated about not being productive. The emphasis and repetition on the lyrics represent our eagerness to start being proactive,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>said lead vocalist, Dylan Nash in an interview with&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/prescriptionpr.cmail19.com\/t\/j-l-xdkdudl-ejlihlkhu-u\/\" target=\"_blank\">Atwood Magazine<\/a>. The electrified <em>Sold<\/em> video premiered exclusively on&nbsp;Spotify\u2019s \u2018Rock This\u2019&nbsp;and \u2018New Noise\u2019 playlists,&nbsp;since gaining nearly 400k views and over&nbsp;1M streams. Meanwhile, Apple Music playlisting has included hits on \u2018New Releases (Rock),\u2019 \u2018Hot Tracks (Rock),\u2019 \u2018Rock Workout,\u2019 \u2018Breaking Rock,\u2019 \u2018New Rock,\u2019 and&nbsp;\u2018Best of the Week.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liily\u2019s live shows invoke a manic intensity.&nbsp;<em>\u201cWe like our music to make people crazy\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;guitarist Sam De La Torre says.&nbsp;<em>\u201cWhen we write something, we want it to hit really hard. If we knock people out, we\u2019ve done our job.\u201d<\/em>Audiences of often under-aged kids turn up to dance and absolutely tear the place apart alongside the band. Having started out playing mostly house parties and warehouses, it\u2019s only recently that this new youth culture has even entered into nightclubs.&nbsp;&#8216;I Can Fool Anybody In This Town&#8217;&nbsp;comes shortly after the band&nbsp;sold out their four-week January 2019 festival, Brekfest&nbsp;at The Echo in Los Angeles. The festival included performances from some of LA\u2019s finest such as Starcrawler, Death Valley Girls, Deap Vally, Skating Polly, and Superet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They\u2019re currently touring the West Coast with The Glorious Sons, with a packed schedule at&nbsp;SXSW&nbsp;in Austin, TX next week, before the arrive in the UK for&nbsp;The Great Escape.
