Brooklyn post-punk outfit, Free $$$ will release their second EP, \u2018Support,\u2019 on August 8th. The trio originally set their sights on a dream pop sound that evolved slowly but with every session it became something much heavier, creating a sound reminiscent of Parquet Courts, Protomartyr, and IDLES\u2014who they opened for on their first American tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Support\u2019 was recorded and mixed by Adam Reich, (Titus Andronicus and <\/strong>The <\/strong>So So Glos). The EP is a release bound to the agitation of the year it was born; each song filled with anxiety but ending before the listener can get sick on its fever. This is coupled with the band\u2019s vocalist \/ guitarist Ben Petrisor\u2019s scattered croon-scream lyrics, of which we find a mind cornered in its beliefs, oscillating between self-righteousness and self-consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Watch the music video for their first single Tarantulas<\/em> via Vimeo below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
