One day we woke up to this foggy landscape, it was magical and I right away started shooting on my phone. Lina Tullgren).\u00a0Anders Trentem\u00f8ller personally created the accompanying music video for these just as he did for\u00a0<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Sleeper (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/trentemoller-shares-new-track-sleeper\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sleeper<\/a><\/em>\u00a0from the album.<br><br>Trentem\u00f8ller has always worked with strong female singers, including\u00a0Savages\u2019 Jehnny Beth, Low\u2019s Mimi Parker, Blonde Redhead\u2019s Kazu Makino\u00a0and\u00a0Marie Fisker. This new album features the voices of\u00a0Slowdive\u2019s Rachel Goswell, Warpaint\u2019s Jenny Lee Lindberg (jennylee), Lina Tullgren\u00a0and\u00a0Lisbet Fritze, as well.<br>\u00a0<br>Initially conceived as an instrumental album,\u00a0&#8216;Obverse&#8217;\u00a0soon took on a life of its own with these collaborations. Embodying a shoegaze, dream pop, synth-based soundscape enriched by German Kosmische\/Motorik experimentalist spirit,\u00a0&#8216;Obverse&#8217;<em>\u00a0<\/em>is in its own genre. Trentem\u00f8ller continues to address familiar themes of light and dark, turbulence and serenity, piercing chill and comforting warmth, inspired by the antipodal elements of his Nordic home environment. These complementary contrasts inherent in the album title also show up in the short films Trentem\u00f8ller made for the album and artwork by Jesse Draxler.<br>\u00a0<br><em>\u201cI have always worked with contrasts in my music and in my sound. It\u2019s in the subtle clashes of feelings and tonal contradictions that I often find pure inspiration,\u201d<\/em> Anders said. <em>\u201cObverse\u00a0was always going to be about exploring the possibilities in my studio, with no consideration of how it could be performed on a stage, and it was completely liberating.\u201d<br>\u00a0<\/em><br>In 2006, following a run of EPs, Trentem\u00f8ller released his groundbreaking debut full-length,\u00a0&#8216;The Last Resort&#8217;. Topping several end-of-year lists, this milestone of Electronica exposed his music to a far wider audience. The three studio albums that followed,\u00a0&#8216;Into The Great Wide Yonder&#8217;\u00a0(2010),\u00a0&#8216;Lost&#8217;\u00a0(2013), and\u00a0&#8216;Fixion&#8217;\u00a0(2016), came out on his own label imprint, In My Room.
