Along with the announcement, they\u2019ve shared the video for lead single, <em>Initiative<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Initiative<\/em> was written in a Seattle basement. Like the album as a whole, the track thrums with purpose, marking a confident new phase for the band. Referencing\u00a0governments who shirk responsibilities but place the blame on individuals, the song has a frustrated groove that\u2019s propelling, motivated by necessity to keep going against the grain. The accompanying video, directed by\u00a0Jack Barraclough, is brightly-stylized, and stars the band themselves. The trio\u2019s vision \u2013 deeply queer; political by default \u2013 place them in a radical lineage of dance, a continuum connecting disco and post-punk to Chicago house.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the band members now live countries away from each other &#8211; guitarist\u00a0Rachel Aggs\u00a0(Trash Kit, Sacred Paws) and drummer\u00a0Andrew Milk\u00a0(Current Affairs) in Glasgow and\u00a0Billy Easter\u00a0(Wet Dog) in Los Angeles &#8211; the trio returned to London for an intense, 10-day period. For \u2018All Or Nothing\u2019, they teamed up with US-based producer\u00a0Davey<strong> <\/strong>Warsop\u00a0to record, shifting their stripped-down ethos to one that took a leap into pop production. Talking Heads, YYYs, Bronski Beat and LCD Soundsystem are among the artists to feature on the production inspo playlist the band created for\u00a0Nick<strong> <\/strong>Sylvester, who mixed the record, in Los Angeles.<br><br>Along with cleaner, new production values, \u2018All Or Nothing\u2018 sees Shopping experiment further with the sonic additions that coloured \u2018The Official Body\u2018.
