To accompany the hazy psych-garage fuzz, the three members of Engine Summer dive into the freezing waters of Lake Michigan and transform into vintage hand-drawn animated sea creatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or, as the band&nbsp;put it, &#8220;<em>Walt Disney wishes he was still alive to capitalize on this magical ride under the sea!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Watch the video clip for <em>Under The Sea <\/em>via YouTube below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iRMnOQdjIX4?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Engine Summer&nbsp;are a three-piece band that do more than groups double their size do: Everyone writes, and everyone\u2019s the lead singer. After meeting in high school shop class and seven&nbsp;various DIY bands later, the three&nbsp;landed together in late 2016 in pursuit of an irreverent style of dancey-yet-krauty psych pop &amp; punk. The rules they ride by are: only make music that excites them; every show leaves an impression; every song different from the last; no social media post too social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The band\u00a0have become regulars in Chicago\u2019s indie clubs, and have also branched out nationally with two\u00a0tours of the East Coast, a recent trip to Denver, a Paste Magazine\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prescriptionpr.cmail20.com\/t\/j-l-ckkjydd-ejlihlkhu-u\/\">Daytrotter session<\/a>, and opening slots for Ra Ra Riot, Bodega, Acquaintances (members of Don Caballero) and Baked (members of Titus Andronicus). Their previous EP \u2018Indiana\u2019 was mastered by Dion Lunadon of A Place to Bury Strangers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Engine Summer create&nbsp;their own flyers, album artwork, and music videos, exhibiting an innate care for aesthetic beyond just music &#8211; it also helps that their drummer is a founding member of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/prescriptionpr.cmail20.com\/t\/j-l-ckkjydd-ejlihlkhu-c\/\">Weird Life Films<\/a>&nbsp;(Jay Som, Brittany Campbell, Peter Cottontale).
