Last year, legendary feminist punk band Bikini Kill regrouped for their first full shows since 1997 with performances across the globe in NYC, LA, London and Riot Fest. After quickly selling out an expansive list of international tour dates, the band is thrilled to announce additional east coast dates including stops in\u00a0Nashville,\u00a0Atlanta,\u00a0Orlando,\u00a0Miami\u00a0+ more. Feminist rapper\u00a0Princess Nokia\u00a0has been announced as support\u00a0October 21\u00a0at\u00a0Red Rocks\u00a0and LA punk legend\u00a0Alice Bag\u00a0has also been announced on select dates. Tickets are on sales now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In initial interviews since Bikini Kill\u2019s reunion, band members\u00a0Kathleen Hanna and\u00a0<\/strong>Tobi Vail\u00a0respectively sat down with\u00a0Pitchfork<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0The Olympian<\/a>, explaining how the band reunited, while touching on what their music meant before and how it remains relevant in today\u2019s cultural moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The run kicks off with the band back in Olympia, WA, where they first started, for two benefit concerts for\u00a0Interfaith Works Nightly Shelter<\/a>, a local non-profit acting as the only shelter\/homeless services program that explicitly prioritizes women and LGBT single adults in the Olympia community.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These shows see the band performing with their iconic line-up of\u00a0Kathleen Hanna\u00a0on vocals,\u00a0Tobi <\/strong>Vail\u00a0on drums, and\u00a0Kathi Wilcox\u00a0on bass — along with guitarist\u00a0Erica <\/strong>Dawn\u00a0Lyle.
