It is the&nbsp;final&nbsp;single lifted from Partner&#8217;s&nbsp;\u2018Never Give Up\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/maronmusic.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=a1f7c01ff0c75c9522fc6fbbc&amp;id=a9371fdac2&amp;e=ae84ad277d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">You&#8217;ve Changed Records<\/a>)&nbsp;the&nbsp;follow up to their break out debut album,&nbsp;\u2018In Search of Lost Time\u2019.&nbsp;There is a content warning, however, the video does include&nbsp;mimes\/clowns. This video is the result of a collaboration between ourselves and our friend&nbsp;Mylou Sauvage. We were so excited when Mylou offered to direct our next music video. We knew she was a&nbsp;film industry professional with a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of experience, and that she would be&nbsp;the perfect person to interpret our queer, melancholy&nbsp;prog rock song.<br><br>We had quite an adventure making this video. The journey to the set was dramatic, featuring an unexpected snow storm. Despite wretched weather we had a wonderful day and we were extremely inspired by Mylou&#8217;s one-of-a-kind leadership qualities and artistic eye. She brought together an amazing crew of friends, family and co-workers to help on the set, and we had so much fun working together and celebrating over pizza at Tartinizza later that night.<br><br>We are so happy with how the video turned out, but the greatest gift was the day we all&nbsp;spend together. We are so grateful to have this memento of that wonderful day with our friend Mylou.&nbsp;\u2018Never Give Up\u2019 is dedicated to her memory. Thanks for watching! &#8221;&nbsp;<\/em>&#8211;&nbsp;Partner<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About \u2018Never Give Up\u2019<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/maronmusic.us12.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=a1f7c01ff0c75c9522fc6fbbc&amp;id=98a9db9dc8&amp;e=ae84ad277d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Never Give Up\u2019 is Partner\u2019s second full-length&nbsp;album, following 2017\u2019s&nbsp;\u2018In Search of Lost Time\u2019. In the years since their first release, the band has developed their \u201cpost classic rock\u201d sound, leaving behind 90s rock comparisons. The new album retains elements that will be familiar to Partner fans, such as guitar solos and humorous subject matter, but with more structurally adventurous songs and abstract lyrics. They have spent the last several years on tour with drummer Simone TB, and this is evident in the looser and more confident performances captured on the album.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Never Give Up\u2019 was recorded by&nbsp;Steve Chaley at Palace Sound&nbsp;in the summer of 2019.&nbsp;Not all the songs came&nbsp;easily. Some took over a year to complete. Some taunted the band with their elusivity. Some forced Partner to rip them apart and build them back together more than once.&nbsp;\u2018Never Give Up\u2019 was written in rehearsal&nbsp;spaces, in the band\u2019s bedrooms, in a condo, in friends\u2019 and strangers\u2019 houses, Air BnBs, in a cafe and on Jos\u00e9e\u2019s couch and in the studio, and in the booth.&nbsp;<em>\u201cWe talked. We were honest with each other and honest with ourselves. Sometimes it was a lot.
