Drab Majesty\u00a0have announced that they will make their first two transmissions of 2021 \u2014 their debut release\u00a0\u2018Unarian Dances\u2019\u00a0as well as the\u00a0Dais Records\u00a0label debut\u00a0\u2018Unknown to the I\u2019 \u2014 available for the first time ever on vinyl.\u00a0These milestone cassettes were released in 2012 and 2015 respectively, along with inclusion on the 2015 CD compilation\u00a0\u2018Completely Careless,\u2019 but were never committed to vinyl.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0\u2018Unarian Dances\u2019\u00a0and\u00a0\u2018Unknown to the I\u2019 12\u201d re-issues finally bring the entire\u00a0Drab Majesty\u00a0catalog to vinyl and will be available\u00a0on\u00a0May 21st.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self released in 2012,\u00a0\u2018Unarian Dances\u2019 came out on cassette format, originally limited to 100 copies.\u00a0 The songs on this EP would eventually make their way onto the\u00a0\u2018Completely Careless\u2019\u00a0CD collection as bonus tracks, but have never been available on LP format until now.\u00a0\u2018Unarian <\/em><\/strong>Dances\u2019 was mastered by Josh Bonati and features beautiful new packaging by Nathaniel Young \u2014 cover art is below.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward to 2015 when\u00a0Drab Majesty\u00a0marked their label debut for Dais Records with the release of the\u00a0\u2018Unknown to the I\u2019 cassette, which featured the title track that would later appear on the group\u2019s first full-length\u00a0\u2018Careless<\/a>\u2019.\u00a0 The additional early cuts Saturn Inc.<\/em> and Ultra Violet<\/em> have previously only been available on digital or as CD bonus tracks.\u00a0Now, these songs are finally made available on vinyl in 45 RPM 12 inch format, bringing all early\u00a0Drab Majesty\u00a0material from the\u00a0\u2018Careless\u2019-era (2015-2015) to vinyl.\u00a0\u00a0\u2018Unknown to the I\u2019 was also mastered by Josh Bonati and features beautiful new packaging by Nathaniel Young \u2014 cover art is below.\u00a0For the uninitiated,\u00a0Drab Majesty\u00a0is the project started by multi-instrumentalist\u00a0Deb DeMure.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With their combination of reverb-drenched guitars, synth bass lines, lofty vocals and rhythmic drum machine beats,\u00a0Drab Majesty\u00a0eloquently blends classic New Wave and hints of early 4AD with futuristic originality.\u00a0 Since joined by\u00a0Mona D\u00a0on keyboards and vocals,\u00a0Drab Majesty\u00a0elevated their sound and presentation and released 2017\u2019s landmark LP\u00a0\u2018The Demonstration<\/a>\u2019 to great critical acclaim.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
