Lifted from last year&#8217;s momentous debut album&nbsp;\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/2tSK0jHsaPKCgcjYMwOuya?si=Xq-RGOjxSm6v7GlWQfUuKw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DOOMPOP<\/a>,\u2019 the song tacklesb what it means to genuinely care for someone and the casual, yet brutal, heartbreaks that follow. Drallos explains: &#8220;<em>The Knife is love\/hate. Drallos explains,&nbsp;<em>\u201cIt\u2019s an honest reflection of my attempts to grow up and make sense of absurdity. I wrote the first song in my last month of highschool at 18 and finished recording\/producing just a month after my 20th birthday. With these songs I wanted to go as deep into my insecurities and confusion, however immature I felt. Her debut EP&nbsp;\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/03Amiys5Y9UmSEBrWvfJML?si=kCvzdKz5Tuaw9m79SzOUDQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pulling Teeth<\/a>\u2019 was released in 2018 and provided the first glimpse of Zilched\u2019s dizzying, wildly unpredictable noise-pop. In the buildup to&nbsp;<em>DOOMPOP\u2019s&nbsp;<\/em>fall 2020 release, Zilched released <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/1QwaGg7IrmoH8YUbFE6755?si=x-abNLFYQNyQj4qFNHwlDg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Sleeper<\/em><\/a> following <em><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/5UhyOeehQFYZP348jEdbp7?si=iZ6_j8ohRTaOvZuqidNR0A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Morning<\/a><\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/4FpcaYp1ZWatSimtGoTXrP?si=tv8O-ueHR3KDGv-TBCVrAw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Blue Doom<\/em><\/a> in 2019.
