Jax started the song as a demo on&nbsp;TikTok&nbsp;where it tracked 400,000 views and proved to be an undeniably relatable bop. She decided to invite&nbsp;K.Flay&nbsp;along into the studio, as well as producer&nbsp;Tommy English, to bring the song to life while creating an important dialogue at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I--qXjsO-Dk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jax says:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;Someone commented recently that I Don&#8217;t Care Anymore is a song about nihilistic optimism &amp; I\u2019d say they\u2019re totally right. I&#8217;m saying \u201cnothing matters, but isn\u2019t it freeing?\u201d It\u2019s my way of fully accepting who I am &amp; rejecting any standards that I&#8217;ve learned to carry. It\u2019s incredible how freeing life is when you choose not to give a fuck, right? All I can do is live as myself, truly &amp; fully &amp; it\u2019s been awesome.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K.Flay adds<strong>:<\/strong><em>\u201cThis collaboration came about totally organically. Jax posted an early version of the song on TikTok, people loved it, and a bunch of folks commented that I should feature on the track. So we made it happen! The lyrics really resonated with me. For anyone who\u2019s felt like an outsider, you eventually reach a point where you actually stop caring what other people think. And you embrace yourself with a newfound sense of confidence and swagger and kindness.
