Divine Fits\u00a0has confirmed that it will make its live debut kicking off a trio of shows in the band members’ hometowns – Britt Daniel\u00a0(Austin, TX on August 1),\u00a0Dan Boeckner (Montreal, QC on August 3) and\u00a0Sam Brown\u00a0(Columbus, OH on August 6).<\/p>\n

The live shows follow immediately on the heels of the July 31 release of Divine Fits’ first single My Love Is Real<\/em>, the 7″ which features a non-LP B-side cover of Camper Van Beethoven\u2019s I Was Born In A Laundromat<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Special golden tickets will be inserted randomly into ten copies of the My Love Is Real<\/em> single available at select indie retailers in each of these three hometown cities, including\u00a0Waterloo<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0End of an Ear<\/a>\u00a0in Austin,\u00a0Used Kids<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Magnolia Thunderpussy<\/a>\u00a0in Columbus, and participating stores in Montreal which are still TBD. The single is also available digitally as a stand-alone track or as an instant download with pre-orders of Divine Fits’ debut album “A <\/em>Thing Called Divine Fits”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>placed in the\u00a0Divine Fits online store<\/a>, Merge store<\/a>\u00a0or at\u00a0iTunes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘<\/i>A Thing Called Divine Fits’ will be released August 28 in the U.S. via Merge Records and Universal in Canada. The record will be out one day earlier in the UK and Europe via Anti-\/Epitaph.<\/p>\n
