This marks the first video of it\u2019s kind from the band with sci-fi b-movie themesh and featuring a number of surprises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the video, Maxim says,<em>\u00a0\u201cOn the surface, the concept was straightforward, a walking video: An Ant from \u201cup there\u201d, sings Concorde.<br><br>But, for a band who namecheck everyone from Scott Walker to Kanye West, and the pronounced mix of genres in their music, it felt right to take an analogous approach with the visuals. Throw as many references together as possible and see if we, too, could get it all to hold together as a piece.<br><br>We took the 6 minute+ runtime as an asset. It gave us the time needed to weave as much as possible into the film. A walking video in parts, but also with a narrative running through. We combined miniatures with VFX, and flanked the film with Archival footage.<br><br>The band were so supportive and amazing. They gave us the encouragement to just go off on one! Released in February to extensive, global, critical support &#8211; perhaps best summed up by The Times who wrote in their 5\/5 review that they were\u00a0<em>&#8220;the most exciting band of 2021&#8221;<\/em>and The Observer who called their record\u00a0<em>&#8220;one of the best albums of the year&#8221;<\/em>&#8211; the album made a significant dent on the UK Albums Chart where it landed at #4 in its first week, a remarkable achievement for a largely experimental debut record. The band have harnessed the momentum from that record and run full pelt into their second, with \u2018Ants From Up There\u2019 managing to strike a skilful balance between feeling like a bold stylistic overhaul of what came before, as well as a natural progression.<br><br>The new track follows the band\u2019s highly emotive, stripped back single, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/prescriptionpr.cmail20.com\/t\/j-l-zjhlitd-ejlihlkhu-h\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bread Song<\/a><\/em>, which has been a live favourite amongst fans since it\u2019s reveal earlier this year, and has since gone on to earn wide acclaim across a number of publications, including the likes of The Needle Drop, who says band is \u201c<em>really shaping up to be one of the most interesting\u2026contemporary bands out there right now.<\/em><br><br>The band also previously accompanied the announcement of their new album with the infectiously chaotic yet coherent single <em><a href=\"https:\/\/prescriptionpr.cmail20.com\/t\/j-l-zjhlitd-ejlihlkhu-k\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chaos Space Marine<\/a><\/em>, which received a huge reaction from fans and media alike, with publications such as NPR describing it as\u00a0<em>\u201ca thrilling transcontinental epic,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>and the Times calling them\u00a0<em>\u201cone of the most exciting and unusual new bands in Britain,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>as well as many more.<br><br>With \u2018For the first time\u2019 the band melded klezmer, post-rock, indie and an often intense spoken word delivery.
