The new track is the final\u00a0taster of the band&#8217;s\u00a0upcoming debut mini-album &#8216;Yes, offence&#8217; out\u00a0April\u00a028 via\u00a0Not Sorry Mom Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New track <em>I Don&#8217;t Think I&#8217;ll Go Out Today<\/em> is a captivating example of the pair&#8217;s\u00a0unique electronic trash-pop \/ post-punk\u00a0amalgam.\u00a0Caustic guitars are\u00a0punctuated by spiralling electronics, all welded together with\u00a0an unsettling intensity as vocalist Sabrina grapples with\u00a0themes of social expectations and the resulting effects on mental health. We kept it building to an intensity and release in an attempt to&nbsp;emulate the actual thought pattern of someone in that situation but we kept it simple.&nbsp;Everyone &#8216;deals&#8217;&nbsp;differently, therefore everyone will individually pick up exactly what they need from the track.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originating from Toronto, Canada and Northampton respectively,\u00a0Shelf Lives\u00a0consist of vocalist Sabrina\u00a0and guitarist\/producer Jonny \u2013 who now both reside in Streatham Hill, South London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An\u00a0enthralling, genre-bending debut body of work, bringing to mind the acerbic art-rock of Le Tigre and the gritty garage-rock inspired electro bombast of Peaches, Shelf Lives&#8217; debut mini-album &#8216;Yes, offence&#8217;\u00a0emerges from the band&#8217;s ongoing creative collaboration with producer\u00a0Space\u00a0<em>(IDLES, Do Nothing),\u00a0<\/em>and follows previous singles <em>Shelf Live<\/em>, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/shelf-lives-release-new-single-mark-twain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Shelf Lives release new single \u2018Mark Twain\u2019\">Mark Twain<\/a><\/em> and <em>Shock Horror<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shelf Lives\u00a0are\u00a0poised to make a huge impact over the coming 12 months.
