Ahead of the imminent release of their highly anticipated third album \u2013 \u2018North East Coastal Town\u2019 \u2013 LIFE return with Duck Egg Blue<\/em>, the fourth song to be unveiled from the record ahead of the release\u00a0on 19 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More introspective than any of the band\u2019s material to-date, Duck Egg Blue<\/em> shows a different side to the band as vocalist Mez Green\u2019s boisterous and sardonic vocal style is swapped for tender, ruminative lyrics that glide across a meditative rhythm section, which ebbs and flows with subtle electronic elements around a gentle guitar loop.

Speaking on the new release Mez says:\u00a0\u201c\u2018Duck Egg Blue\u2019 is a realist’s love song. The journey of trying to navigate through each other\u2019s feelings and emotions, the strains of close quarters trapped in a tiny flat, the minutiae of everyday life. The overarching sentiment is that no matter what happens, after all that is said and done, we love each other, and we are there for each other.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The single is also accompanied by a new video which sees different colours of paint swirling and merging with each other. The visual is taken from bassist Lydia Palmeria and her girlfriend painting their bedroom.
