Having released his first EP under this moniker in 2017 for\u00a0Trentem\u00f8ller&#8217;s In My Room\u00a0label, he\u2019d later release his debut album\u00a0\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/4rhFKNTKZIG4qG8wXgYyzL?si=qPR-c1ZqQzasCql80QYj4Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Future Ruins<\/a>\u2019\u00a0in 2020. Now, he returns with\u00a0\u2018Heart Blossom,\u2019 a new two track EP seeing him return in fine style with a pair of achingly beautiful pieces of music, <em>Heart Blossom<\/em> ft. I got to know her when I was mixing a track for a super talented Italian guy named Gae Vinci. She was singing on that track and I instantly fell in love with her voice. She was up for a collaboration and things went on from there.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0The production is, as always, sublime \u2014 with sparkling chords, touches of New Order\u2019s early 80s melancholy and a shuffling drum track that underpins Cosette\u2019s dreamy lyricism. <em>Along Coastlines<\/em> is a beautiful counterpoint \u2014 synth washes, effected guitars and fragments of melodies combine to produce a gorgeous piece of ambient expressionism.\u00a0<br><br>&#8220;<em>After taking a &#8211; in my standards &#8211; long break from making new music, I felt I needed to try something different from what I usually do.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0TOM explains.\u00a0<em>&#8220;The last two years have been a rollercoaster ride for most people and like most other people I wanted to get out of my comfort zone to explore some of my brighter sides of music making. I wouldn\u2019t say the music style changed dramatically. I see it more as a natural progression and sonically speaking, I&#8217;ve always found it interesting to be somewhere on the borderline between bright and darkness.&#8221;<\/em><br><br>The new single drops right in time for an extended live tour through North America where TOM And His Computer will support Trentem\u00f8ller. The people who go to these shows only go because they have a sincere interest in good quality indie music.
