The album is a garage-rock banger, with nods to rock and punk influences both new and old (Teengenerate, D4, Split System, The Saints, The Real Kids, Dogs, Fixed Up, The Records, MC5). We caught up with bassist T. Boy for some thoughts on this latest saucer, why they decided to start singing in French, and their new musical direction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had this to say: <em>\u201cOne&#8217;s gotta admit that the way we&#8217;re fed success and ambition sucks big time. We&#8217;re against it with this biography of a punk song.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is in regards to <em>Z\u00e9ro Ambition &#8211;\u00a0 <\/em>the first smoldering single from the LP. \u2018Mauvaise Foi,\u2019 or \u201cBad Faith,\u201d a resolutely French title for this latest album &#8211; reflects the band\u2019s decision to sing in their native language. The band collectively describes it as <em>\u201cno-frills, fast-paced punk rock with a few power-pop jabs every here and there.\u201d <\/em>But there\u2019s also the cover of <em>When You Walk In the Room &#8211; <\/em>a 1964 Jackie DeShannon deep cut that barely cracked the Billboard top 100 in the USA, exemplifying the depth and overall character of this thoughtful group of rock\u2019n\u2019roll devotees.
