Newcastle, UK-based group Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have released their new live album, \u2018Live In New York\u2019. The record showcases their fiery live show from their April 2023 performance at New York City\u2019s Mercury Lounge, on their recent tour in support of the acclaimed LP \u2018Land Of Sleeper\u2019. The group has kicked off their new U.S. tour in Austin – see below for a full list of tour dates worldwide. \u2018Live In New York\u2019 is out now via Missing Piece Records and is available to stream \/ purchase here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drummer Ewan Mackenzie says \u201cour show at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan NYC was the last date of our North American tour, and the final chapter of a wonderful musical adventure for us. We had already had the privilege of playing at St. Vitus in Brooklyn at the start of the tour, and so returning to NYC again felt like a kind of homecoming. The atmosphere was electric that night, there was magic in the air and a special connection among everyone in the room.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mackenzie continues, “‘Big Rig’ is such a joy to play, like a journey in itself, with big changes, breakdowns and tangents: you feel like you\u2019re hanging on for dear life as the song sweeps you into another mind-bending section.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Live In New York\u2019 comes in the wake of tours across the UK, Europe and North America, festivals across the UK, Greece, Norway, Latvia, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany and the release of their killer live KEXP session<\/a>. The band\u2019s 2023 album \u2018Land of Sleeper\u2019 (currently available on vinyl and streaming services<\/a>) has been praised by Pitchfork<\/a>, Clash<\/a>, The Line of Best Fit<\/a>, and more. Videos were released for the coruscating Ultimate Hammer<\/a>, a high-octane sonic ride that melds classic riffage with the group\u2019s predilection for offbeat chaos, and Mr Medicine<\/em><\/a>, the audio equivalent of sticking a fork in plug socket. They also previously released a blistering live performance video<\/a> of the track Terror\u2019s Pillow<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
