The name was inspired by having been a member of the junior Freemasons organization, Demolay, as well as by the 1970\u2019s horror series, \u201cTombs of the Blind Dead\u201d. Nights Templar have just released their latest LP &#8216;Half The Year&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stream\u00a0the LP via the\u00a0Paisley Shirt Records\u00a0Bandcamp below. <\/p>\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"120\" style=\"position: relative; display: block; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/v=2\/album=3240967371\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/\" allowtransparency=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time the project evolved into a full live band, and gradually shifted away from its horror inspired beginnings towards a\u00a0dreamy style of bedroom post-punk, utilizing a mish-mash of vintage and modern equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Half The Year&#8217; is Nights Templar\u2019s third album (the first that is not self released) and is being released by Bay area label Paisley Shirt Records, primarily known for a warm, hushed, and intimate take on indie pop.
