Along with the announcement, they have shared the lead track\u00a0<em>Dividing Line<\/em>, a song about how Donald Trump tried to start a class war within the USA. The video for <em>Dividing Line<\/em>, which involved claymation, drawing and digital rendering, was created by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/actually_preston_spurlock\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Preston Spurlock<\/a>. About the new single <em>Dividing Line<\/em>, LG Galleon\u00a0says, &#8220;<em>This song is called the \u201cDonnie\u201d song. Yes it\u2019s about Donald Trump. It\u2019s when our former failed leader tried to incite a race riot during the Pandemic. The chorus goes \u201cGet up, cause Donnie wants to start a fire, get up cause Donnie wants to start a riot, start a fire fire fire fire fire fire fight.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dividing Line&#8217; is out now, available everywhere digitally, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/music.apple.com\/nz\/artist\/clone\/1498878509\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple Music<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/4GOfMXziObwngPwJfQYrDj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spotify<\/a>\u00a0and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/clonebk.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bandcamp<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clone is led by\u00a0LG Galleon, best known as frontman of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/deadleafecho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dead Leaf Echo<\/a>. On this album, he is joined by NYC musicians\u00a0Gregg Giufree (Pilot to Gunner), Max Idas\u00a0and\u00a0Dominick Turi.\u00a0Live, he is joined by\u00a0Paul Liziragga (Namesake)\u00a0and\u00a0Alex Cox (The Veldt). Clone started playing shows in summer of 2019, building their fanbase organically, brick by brick, word of their incendiary live shows spreading. Each time they play, more are won over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operating in what\u2019s rapidly becoming an antiquated model, they\u2019re a unit of parts. Egalitarian in their writing process, one where songs are built upon inchoate sparks offered freely by any member, letting the jams run free in their rehearsal space until there\u2019s a complete song, guided by the alchemy of intuition. There\u2019s no rule book here, and no one defining member, but there is a palpable chemistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Co-produced by\u00a0LG Galleon, their debut record &#8216;CL.1&#8217; is a damn auspicious opening volley, completely recorded and mixed by NYC legendary producer\u00a0Martin Bisi\u00a0(Sonic Youth, Swans, Brian Eno, John Zorn, Herbie Hancock, Iggy Pop, Helmet, Dresden Dolls, Cop Shoot Cop)\u00a0at his famed\u00a0BC Studio, built by\u00a0Brian Eno, and mastered by\u00a0Fred Kevorkian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evocative, in ethos and ambition, of a time when music still could change lives. Rooted in belief in its galvanizing, redemptive power, the kind which used to be written for the lonely and the scarred and the diffident (before something truly was lost), something deeply enmeshed within the human psyche that could be shared. Clone are fitfully reclaiming this, which at its crux, is the imagination of youth.
