The tour will also include a stop at\u00a0Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN.\u00a0The shows will include performances by Immersion and SUSS as well as a collaborative set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Immersion have also announced a\u00a0UK headline tour in November \/ Dec 2024. Tickets for all shows are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/t.e2ma.net\/click\/3ufmjl\/3m9fkn\/7dle9r\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">on sale now.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today the band is announcing the\u00a0third album in their Nanocluster series, out in February 2025 (<a href=\"https:\/\/t.e2ma.net\/click\/3ufmjl\/3m9fkn\/n6le9r\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">pre-order<\/a>). The release is a mid-Atlantic melting pot of ideas that have created a brand new third way. Immersion\u2019s open-minded approach sees their music spark new textures with the American band who were once described by\u00a0UNCUT\u00a0magazine as \u201cEno\u2019s Apollo Atmospheres crash-landed in America\u2019s Sonoran Desert,\u201d and by\u00a0Pitchfork\u00a0as \u201cNeither rawboned nor ramshackle \u2026 their elegantly composed brand of ambient country stands as tall and clean as a brand-new pair of cowboy boots.\u201d\u00a0<br><br>Composed of veteran musicians\u00a0Pat Irwin (the B-52s, Raybeats, 8 Eyed Spy),\u00a0Bob Holmes (numun, Rubber Rodeo),\u00a0and\u00a0Jonathan Gregg (the Combine, the Linemen),\u00a0SUSS combine Pedal Steel, National Steel Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, Baritone Guitar, and the Harmonium, which they weave with synthesizers and loops to create their big, lonesome sound.\u00a0<br><br>Their fifth album,\u00a0\u2018Birds &amp; Beasts,\u2019\u00a0released on\u00a0Northern Spy Records\u00a0in\u00a0June 2024, shows the band heading off into a new direction, populating their stark landscapes with the creatures, cycles, and rhythms of the world around them.\u00a0<br><br>This sense of adventure makes them perfect partners for the Nanocluster project.\u00a0SUSS understood immediately the nature of this fascinating collaboration as that was already part of their creative process.\u00a0<br><br>Says SUSS\u2019 Bob Holmes, &#8220;Collaboration is an important aspect of the type of music SUSS makes. Whether we are\u00a0collaborating with each other, or with musicians and <em>artists outside of the band, the exploration and discovery of the unknown is central to our creative process. When Colin &amp; Malka approached us to collaborate with them on Nanocluster, it seemed like a perfect fit. Their use of rhythm,\u00a0synthesizers, bass and atmospherics felt very complementary to our instrumentation. As\u00a0expected, the results were unexpected and our music was taken to a place where we would not have gone otherwise.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><br><br>It\u2019s this element of surprise that sparks the best art.\u00a0<br><br>As Pat Irwin from SUSS explains, &#8220;<em>One of the challenges of a collaboration is being led into places you never could have imagined.
