Written and performed by all five original \u2018heyday\u2019 members, the\u00a0Liverpool\u00a0band\u2019s fifth album and first in over three decades,\u00a0\u2018Let The Music (Take Control),\u2019 will be released\u00a0on\u00a0Fri May 2 2025\u00a0via\u00a0Modern Sky.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Catapulted at speed into overdue fame by the runaway success of their No.1 album,\u00a0\u2018Spartacus,\u2019 in 1991, featuring all-time classic, indie dancefloor singles,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maintainperspective.us16.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=37c0e27b1119bdcd493ee74ad&amp;id=126604c922&amp;e=e00552943e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Groovy Train<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maintainperspective.us16.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=37c0e27b1119bdcd493ee74ad&amp;id=9efe930637&amp;e=e00552943e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>All Together Now<\/em><\/a>, The Farm was originally formed in 1984.<br>\u00a0<br>Returning to the independent spirit that saw them release their own singles and albums up until household recognition found them at start of the nineties, the band\u2019s comeback began earlier this year with the self-release of\u00a0BBC Radio 2\u00a0playlisted album title track,<em>\u00a0Feel The Love.<\/em>\u00a0Their return to the forefront of music in the UK was further concreted by a return to play this year\u2019s\u00a0Glastonbury Festival, performing hits and new songs to a packed\u00a0Leftfield<strong> <\/strong>Stage\u00a0crowd.<br>\u00a0<br>While The Farm have rarely returned to the studio since the recording of their fourth album,\u00a0<em>Hullabaloo<\/em>, released in the US only with\u00a0Sire Records\u00a0in March 1994, save for special commemorative and charity projects, they have toured frequently since 2004. Taking new ideas from their rehearsals for major outdoor shows as the blueprint for a potential new album, a refreshed sense of creativity, ambition and possibility emerged. Sessions with producer,\u00a0Mike Cave\u00a0(The Charlatans, Bloc Party) quickly captured that fresh energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singer, Peter Hooton, says of\u00a0<em>Forever &amp; Ever<\/em>:\u00a0<em>\u201cWhen I first heard the new music in rehearsals, I knew I had to match the infectious nature of the music, so went for lyrics that aim straight between the eyes. I went for the timeless theme of everlasting love. It\u2019s about love, obsession and infatuation.<\/em><br>\u00a0<br><em>\u201cWe were listening to some cool dance tracks and liked the feel of them at 126bpm,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0continues guitarist and keyboard player, Steve Grimes.\u00a0<em>\u201cWe started using a couple of Apple Loops beats in that style, added a keys melody and chords from a previous track we\u2019d worked on. The current members who rode that wave &#8211; Hooton, Grimes,\u00a0Keith<strong> <\/strong>Mullin\u00a0(guitar)\u00a0Carl Hunter\u00a0(bass)\u00a0Ben Leach\u00a0(keyboards) and\u00a0Roy Boulter\u00a0(drums) \u2013 remained with the band until their split in 1996.<br>\u00a0<br>Renowned campaigners for justice, not least in connection with the city of Liverpool\u2019s search for truth in connection with the 1989\u00a0Hillsborough Stadium\u00a0disaster, the band formed\u00a0The Justice Tonight Band\u00a0with\u00a0The Mighty Wah!\u2019s Pete Wylie\u00a0and\u00a0Mick Jones\u00a0of\u00a0The Clash\u00a0in 2011, going on to support Stone Roses at their huge reunion shows. Evolving under the weight of significant momentum to become\u00a0The Justice Collective\u00a0a year later, collaborators were as diverse as\u00a0Paul McCartney, Holly Johnson, Paloma Faith, Paul Heaton\u00a0and football legend,\u00a0Kenny Dalglish.<br>\u00a0<br>Subsequent live and recording campaigns have been dedicated to combating sleaze within the ranks of the British tabloid media and a 2014 Christmas re-recording and release of\u00a0<em>All Together Now<\/em>\u00a0to raise funds for the\u00a0British Red Cross\u00a0and\u00a0Shorncliffe<strong> <\/strong>Trust.<br>\u00a0<br>Written about the 1914 Christmas Day Armistice which saw British and German troops lay down weapons for a game of football,\u00a0<em>All Together Now<\/em>\u00a0stands as The Farm\u2019s biggest hit to date, reaching No.4 on the UK Singles Chart.
