The Null Club\u2014the brainchild of Gilla Band’s Alan Duggan-Borges\u2014is back with a powerful new single, Frameshift<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, featuring Brooklyn-based rapper E L U C I D<\/strong>. This follows the buzz from last month\u2019s debut track Slip Angle<\/em><\/strong> featuring Mandy, Indiana’s Valentine Caulfield<\/strong>, which earned praise from Pitchfork, DORK, BBC 6 Music, The Guardian, The Needle Drop, The Line Of Best Fit, Stereogum, NME, Hot Press,<\/strong> and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Sound That Defies Boundaries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Alan has spent years crafting his sonic world\u2014melding noise, techno, experimental hip-hop, and post-punk<\/strong>\u2014using an arsenal of vintage synths, drum machines, and guitars. Now, he\u2019s set to release his self-titled debut EP on 4th April<\/strong>, which will feature collaborations with E L U C I D, Valentine Caulfield,<\/strong> and The Horrors\u2019 Faris Badwan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Frameshift<\/em> Came to Life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Alan and E L U C I D<\/strong> first crossed paths when Alan produced ‘RFID’ for ELUCID\u2019s album Revelator<\/em>. Reflecting on ‘Frameshift,’ Alan shares:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I had this track sitting around for a while. Originally, it was an instrumental, but I always imagined vocals in the second half. I had mixed and mastered it as an instrumental, but late in the process, I reached out to E L U C I D. He sent back his part, and it completely transformed the song. He made it what it is.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
