Loss never truly leaves us; instead, it shapes who we become. The lyrics wrestle with the unknowable, the existential pull of life and death, and the connections we maintain with those we\u2019ve lost. This album became a ritual of sitting with grief, understanding it, and finally, releasing some of its weight.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Tragically, House\u2019s brother Jeff passed away unexpectedly just as the band was beginning to release songs from the album. The heartbreak is woven into the fabric of <em>Grief is a Garden<\/em>, making it one of Fotoform\u2019s most raw and intimate works to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>An Evolution in Sound: Dreamy Melancholy Meets Post-Punk Grit<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Blending <strong>lush shoegaze atmospheres with post-punk urgency<\/strong>, \u2018Grief is a Garden (Forever in Bloom)\u2019 is Fotoform at their finest. Kim House (vocals, bass, synths, guitar) and Geoffrey Cox (guitars) are joined by <strong>Michael Schorr<\/strong> (drums, ex-Death Cab for Cutie) to craft an album that explores <strong>loss, resilience, and transformation<\/strong> with <strong>crystalline guitars, shimmering synths, and hypnotic rhythms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing inspiration from <strong>The Cure, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, and Drab Majesty<\/strong>, the band also incorporates elements of classic <strong>4AD artists like This Mortal Coil and Lush<\/strong>, pushing their sound into new, more intimate
