Gilla Band\u2019s own Alan\u202fDuggan\u2011Borges has been holed up for years tinkering with vintage synths, drum machines and guitars, blending noise, techno, experimental hip\u2011hop and post\u2011punk into something entirely his own. The Null Club is the result: a collaborative playground where each track gets its own special guest vocal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    All the instrumentals were laid down by Alan in his Dublin home and rehearsal studio; vocals were recorded wherever inspiration struck\u2014NYC apartments, London studios and Manchester living rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cFaris reached out to Gilla Band ages ago, so getting him on \u201814\u202fHours\u2019 was a dream. We wrote and recorded the melody in his flat over two days\u2014then he polished the vocals later. The MRK drum machine I\u2019ve been obsessed with finally found its home on this track, and everything just clicked.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
