And they\u2019re dropping the first taste: the video for their single <em>Country Girl<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2011, childhood friends Logan Gaval and Harper Boyhtari have been conjuring songs that bleed heart and hustle: half\u2011dreamy shoegaze, half\u2011crushing doomgaze, and a splash of every\u2011gaze in between. Think of them as Michigan\u2019s punky answer to Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, riffing on big ideas and small moments alike. Their unexpectedly huge debut \u2018<strong>Dixieland<\/strong>\u2019 (2017) and the follow\u2011up \u2018<strong>New Hell<\/strong>\u2019 (2019) proved that Greet Death know how to wrap full\u2011on feeling in melody and distortion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After six years away, they\u2019ve returned to the very basement in Davisburg, Michigan where they cut their teeth\u2014covering Metallica and Blink\u2011182, writing songs about batteries and frozen yogurt, and dreaming big in the wake of School of Rock. There, armed with nothing but their chops and a four\u2011track, they tracked \u2018<strong>Die In Love<\/strong>,\u2019 their third and most daring album yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At its core, \u2018<strong>Die In Love<\/strong>\u2019 wrestles with life\u2019s big problem: we live knowing we\u2019ll die, and we love knowing we\u2019ll lose it all. But instead of bowing to despair, Greet Death have crafted anthems for our shared suffering\u2014turning heartbreak into something you\u2019ll happily belt along to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Country Girl<\/em> (single + video)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Directed by Chromatone Studios and co\u2011written\/produced by Harper Boyhtari and L. Morgan, the video stars Harper and Logan in a tale of identity, alienation, and that uncanny feeling of discovering you\u2019re both detective and culprit in your own story.
