Their debut album,\u00a0\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/dandyboyrecords.bandcamp.com\/album\/come-and-get-me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Come and Get Me<\/a>,\u2019 is set to land on June 27 via Dandy Boy Records\u2014and trust us, you\u2019re going to want to grab it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First up? <em>Medicine Speed<\/em>, the jangly, driving lead single that just hit the airwaves. It\u2019s a song that sparkles with shimmering guitar lines and bright melodies, even as the lyrics pull you into something darker. Yea-Ming Chen (of Yea-Ming &amp; The Rumours) wrote it during a 3 a.m. bout of insomnia, when every shadow in the room felt like it had teeth. With their powers combined, the group clicked fast\u2014so fast that they tracked the entire album within a few months at Good\u2019s Oakland studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While their music nods to some pretty stellar influences\u2014early McCartney, The Smiths, Camera Obscura, Belle &amp; Sebastian\u2014Ryli isn\u2019t interested in playing copycat. Instead, they channel those touchstones into something uniquely theirs: melodic pop with guts, brains, and a little edge. You\u2019ll hear it right away in <em>Medicine Speed<\/em>, and again in tracks like <em>Break<\/em>, a moody, minor-key burner that features Good\u2019s searing guitar work and Chen\u2019s rich, emotive vocals asking, \u201c<em>If I asked you to, would you break me out of here?<\/em>\u201d Spoiler alert: no one\u2019s breaking her out. But the song might just break you open a little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole album walks a tightrope between buoyant, summery soundscapes and lyrics that aren\u2019t afraid to dig into anxiety, heartbreak, or existential dread. It\u2019s music that sparkles while it stings. And honestly? That\u2019s the magic. Ryli sounds like a band that\u2019s not just vibing\u2014they\u2019re thriving.&nbsp;\u2018Come and Get Me\u2019 might be their debut, but it plays like the confident statement of a band deep in their groove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark your calendar for June 27.
