{"id":42822,"date":"2025-06-03T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T19:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/?p=42822"},"modified":"2025-05-31T07:23:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T11:23:02","slug":"rxhx-prescribes-a-new-sonic-disruption-star-fkd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/?p=42822","title":{"rendered":"RxHx prescribes a new sonic disruption: \u2018Star FKD\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Straight from the sterile halls of the\u00a0fictional St. Vitus Neuromusical Centre\u00a0\u2014 and possibly the murkiest corners of Bruce Wilson\u2019s fractured psyche \u2014 comes a new dose of sonic disturbance:\u00a0<strong><em>Star FKD<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0Released under the project alias\u00a0<strong>RxHx<\/strong>, this track is less a song and more a metaphysical exorcism set to post-existential pop and dissociative synth-punk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wilson (who also fronts Sunday Morning and has left fingerprints on Tankhog and Jibbernaut) returns not just to music, but to a full-blown&nbsp;<strong>psychospiritual episode<\/strong>&nbsp;that\u2019s been carefully catalogued in the latest Patient Report from the Centre\u2019s Division of Harmonic Disturbance &amp; Echo Response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Diagnosis:<\/strong>&nbsp;Terminal, but highly listenable.<br><strong>Symptoms:<\/strong>&nbsp;Spiritual malaise. Corporeal atrophy. Cranial dysmorphia.<br><strong>Advisory:<\/strong>&nbsp;Not safe for FCC-regulated environments.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong><em>Star FKD<\/em>,<\/strong> RxHx stares directly into the void and comes back with&#8230; a banger. It&#8217;s cinematic, drenched in nocturnal new wave, and unrepentantly raw. The kind of track that crawls under your skin while whispering apocalyptic lullabies. But not in a defeatist way. More like a poet strapped to the hull of a doomed spaceship, making peace with the cold.
