After nearly three years off the release radar, the band has returned with a wild new single,&nbsp;<em>I felt all there is to feel<\/em>, featuring none other than Shane Parsons of Aussie party-punk legends DZ Deathrays. It\u2019s raw, it\u2019s weird, it\u2019s got disco drums under fuzz-blasted guitars\u2014and it kicks off a new era the band\u2019s dubbing \u201cHyper-Rock.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This first taste of their upcoming fourth studio album,&nbsp;\u2018<strong>This is normal now<\/strong>\u2019&nbsp;(out November 28 via Alcopop! Records and Ketchup Tracks), is a swirl of distortion, emotional overload, and hyper-digital angst. It\u2019s cathartic chaos, glued together by a chorus that somehow feels both euphoric and slightly unhinged\u2014just how we like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>It\u2019s been almost three years since we released our last track,\u201d<\/em> says frontman Erik Heise. \u201c<em>Since then, the world has flipped on its head at least four times\u2014and made us feel all there is to feel. One thing we\u2019ve learned: with 14 hours of screen time a day, you don\u2019t feel much of anything. It\u2019s rock music fed through a digital blender, scattered with confetti and blasted onto a strobe-lit dance floor. With\u00a0\u2018<strong>This is normal now<\/strong>,\u2019 PABST are tearing up the tired rulebook and handing us something way more fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Magnus Wichmann at lala Studios in Leipzig, and it\u2019s unmistakably PABST: bold, unfiltered, and deeply weird in all the best ways. They\u2019ve brought friends along for the ride, too\u2014guest appearances from Blush Always and Snake Eyes spice up the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From DIY Roots to Global Stages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since forming, PABST have built a reputation for sweaty live shows and unapologetically loud records.
