The track arrives alongside a hypnotic video co-directed by Monad himself and filmmaker Ben Palhov, setting the stage for a collection of songs that explore detachment, emotion, and the ghostly edges of memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re just catching up, Monad is the genre-blurring project of Eshchar Nachmany, who\u2019s been quietly carving out a niche for his introspective blend of dream-pop, ambient synthwork, and existential sonic wanderings. With&nbsp;<em>UDB<\/em>, he leans further into his unique pocket of analog melancholia\u2014where reverb-drenched vocals hover like distant thoughts and synths stretch out like starlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI<em> was writing this at a time where I felt like I was watching my life unfold on a screen,<\/em>\u201d says Nachmany. \u201c<em>It\u2019s me trying to document that feeling in real time.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>That eerie sense of watching rather than living is exactly what makes&nbsp;<em>UDB<\/em>&nbsp;hit so hard. There\u2019s a kind of stillness to it\u2014a dreamy detachment that resists apathy, even when it feels like the easiest way out. Think: emotional disassociation with a pulse. The result? Music that feels both human and machine-like, personal and alien, nostalgic and futuristic all at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve caught him live at Liverpool Sound City or Dot to Dot Bristol, you already know Monad is one to watch.
