But instead of slowing down, they\u2019re speeding things up with the release of their latest single,&nbsp;<em>Cobblestones<\/em>\u2014a bright, jangle-punk tune that packs the punch of The Clash with the shimmer of Johnny Marr guitar lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After dropping their third album\u00a0\u2018Matter Does Not Define\u2019\u00a0earlier this year, the band has been on a rocket-fueled ascent, and\u00a0<em>Cobblestones<\/em>\u00a0is the newest sonic snapshot in their ever-evolving journey. It\u2019s out now and also features on their upcoming\u00a0\u2018Matter Does Not Define Deluxe\u2019 EP, landing August 22 via Modern Sky UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A coming-of-age anthem with real emotional weight, the track kicks off just as The Lathums prepare to take their euphoric live energy overseas\u2014setting their sights on Singapore, Australia, and Japan. From their early breakout hits\u00a0<em>The Great Escape<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Fight On<\/em>\u00a0to packing out Glastonbury stages and selling out their 2025 UK tour (including back-to-back nights at Manchester\u2019s O2 Apollo), the band has become one of the most heartfelt, high-flying forces in modern indie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The four-piece\u2014Alex Moore, Scott Concepcion, Ryan \u2018Duz\u2019 Durrans, and honorary Wiganer Matty Murphy\u2014are carving out their own legacy, one heartfelt lyric and sold-out show at a time.
