Equal parts punk spitfire and electronic mayhem, this brand-new collective has just dropped their latest track&nbsp;<em>DUD<\/em>&nbsp;\u2014 a snarling, no-holds-barred takedown of class cosplay \u2014 and announced their debut EP&nbsp;\u2018Greed Between The Lines,\u2019 landing October 3 via Silent Kid Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re new to teethin, here\u2019s the rundown: they\u2019re a global patchwork of noise-makers rooted in Wales, pulling influence from everywhere \u2014 literally. Members come from Athens, Ukraine, the Philippines, and the Welsh Valleys, and their sound reflects that chaos and color. Imagine punk soaked in rave culture, techno crashes, and guitar fuzz \u2014 it\u2019s a beautiful mess, and&nbsp;\u2018Greed Between The Lines\u2019&nbsp;is their first official salvo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their latest track,&nbsp;<em>DUD<\/em>, is a razor-edged critique of privilege tourists \u2014 rich folks dressing up in \u201cstruggle\u201d for aesthetics and profit. It\u2019s angry, it\u2019s honest, and it cuts through the BS. The band says the lyric \u201cpenny chic\u201d kept echoing as they shaped the track. \u201c<em>It came from that time where Kim Kardashian decided to dress up as a pilgrim,\u201d<\/em> they explain. \u201c<em>It just sent a chill of cringe and fury down our spines.\u201d<\/em> It&#8217;s a song shaped by lived experience \u2014 addiction, poverty, and the gnawing frustration of watching others wear your trauma like a costume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z_cjHYYSEk8?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>teethin isn\u2019t just one person\u2019s project \u2014 though it is spearheaded by Greek-Welsh artist James Minas, a circus-raised rebel who\u2019s already earned props under his solo moniker (including Welsh Music Prize nods and slots at SXSW). He wanted something more raw, more communal. So he pulled together a crew: brothers Greg \u201cCannon\u201d and Alex \u201cGorm\u201d Davies on drums and bass, Emily \u201cKoko\u201d Kocan on synths, and Donald \u201cDonTheMosh\u201d Phythian on guitar and decks. What started as a reconnection with old friends became a sonic uprising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it&nbsp;<em>sounds<\/em>&nbsp;like that \u2014 wild, genre-splintering, genre-melting. The EP doesn\u2019t hold back. Lead-off track&nbsp;<em>THROWIN SHAPES<\/em> throws shade at the ignorant, who dance through life while society collapses around them.&nbsp;<em>LARA SCOFFED<\/em> takes aim at beige industry plants and safe, nepotistic music.&nbsp;<em>MY GENERATION<\/em> drips with dread and disillusionment, mutating classic rock into a scorched post-apocalyptic anthem. And&nbsp;<em>BROKE THE LIGHT<\/em> gets deeply personal, channeling the ache of emotional dependency over throbbing electronics and a bassline that rumbles like a warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>teethin doesn\u2019t play nice, and that\u2019s the point. They\u2019re not here to be polished \u2014 they\u2019re here to be real. They tackle classism, addiction, performative allyship, and systemic rot head-on. But there\u2019s power in that mess, catharsis in the chaos.
