Tokyo’s ever-evolving soundscapers Arrrepentimiento are back with\u00a0\u2018Permanent Vacation\u2019\u2014a two-track release that dropped in July 2025 and is now spinning across Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, and your favourite streaming haunts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Short and mysterious, the pair of tracks delivers the band\u2019s signature blend of noise, field recordings, and alternative folk, stitched together with their always-moody melodic undercurrent. It’s haunting. It’s immersive. It’s got that strange, off-kilter warmth that makes you want to disappear into headphones for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This release marks another chapter in the band\u2019s 20-year journey (yes, two decades!) that began under the moniker\u00a0drawing 4-5<\/em>\u00a0and eventually shapeshifted into Arrrepentimiento\u2014triple\u00a0r<\/em>\u00a0very much intentional. Their sound feels like a strange dream remembered in fragments: part collage, part noise, part folk, all emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
