The track is lifted from his upcoming album\u00a0\u2018Allbarone,\u2019 set to arrive September 12 on Heavenly Recordings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Produced by the ever-epic Paul Epworth (you\u2019ve heard his work on Adele, U2, Florence + the Machine),&nbsp;\u2018Allbarone\u2019 promises a glossier, more euphoric sound for Dury\u2014without losing the winking cynicism we love him for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<em>Schadenfreude<\/em>, Dury dances atop a hypnotic, pulsing Euro-disco rhythm, gleefully recounting the guilty pleasure of witnessing someone else\u2019s downfall. It\u2019s camp, it\u2019s clever, and it\u2019s kind of cathartic. As he puts it, the song is \u201c<em>an optimistic pulsating French dance feel compromised by this slightly over-honest fragile man lyric.<\/em>\u201d That about nails it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recorded at Epworth\u2019s \u201cpalatial\u201d studio\u2014complete with monstrous custom speakers that Dury charmingly calls <em>Cocaine Daleks<\/em>\u2014the track radiates confidence and chaos in equal measure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video?
