The band just announced their upcoming album&nbsp;\u2018Worldwide\u2019, landing October 3rd via Third Man Records, and unleashed the lead single and video for the title track \u2014 a high-speed, hyperactive slice of dance-punk chaos that signals a bold new chapter for the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formed by guitarist&nbsp;<strong>Connor Cummins<\/strong>&nbsp;and vocalist\/visual artist&nbsp;<strong>Blair Tramel<\/strong>, Snooper have always thrived on DIY energy, off-kilter visuals, and unrelenting sonic speed. With their 2023 debut&nbsp;\u2018Super Sn\u00f5\u00f5per\u2019, they turned heads and twisted ears across the underground, cramming 16 tracks into 24 minutes and earning high praise from the likes of&nbsp;<em>CLASH<\/em>, <em>Kerrang!<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>The Quietus<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>The Sunday Times<\/em>. But&nbsp;\u2018Worldwide\u2019&nbsp;is a different beast \u2014 bolder, catchier, and way more rhythm-focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a whirlwind year of globe-hopping shows, from sweaty clubs in Europe to festival stages in Australia, Snooper found themselves in Los Angeles recording with acclaimed producer&nbsp;<strong>John Congleton<\/strong>&nbsp;(St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen). For a band that built its foundation on pure DIY grit, working with a producer was new territory \u2014 but it paid off.&nbsp;\u2018Worldwide\u2019&nbsp;captures a band in transformation, leaning into experimentation while keeping their signature scrappy energy fully intact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The title track <em>Worldwide<\/em> acts as a mission statement. Lyrically, it taps into the disorientation and overstimulation that comes with sudden momentum \u2014 inspired in part by, of all things, YouTube videos of hydraulic presses. Tramel\u2019s vocals bounce between playful and frantic: \u201c<em>Push pull \/ Side to side \/ This way \/ That way \/ Can\u2019t decide \/ Pressure! Tramel\u2019s lyrics this time around come from personal experience \u2014 reflecting real-life confusion, struggle, and evolution. The result is an album that captures the band\u2019s signature energy but offers a more cathartic release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside Cummins and Tramel, the full band lineup \u2014&nbsp;<strong>Happy Haugen<\/strong>&nbsp;(bass),&nbsp;<strong>Brad Barteau<\/strong>&nbsp;(drums), and&nbsp;<strong>Conner Sullivan<\/strong>&nbsp;(guitar) \u2014 delivers a tight, explosive sound that refuses to sit still. There are moments of full-throttle punk, glitchy dance rhythms, and catchy, off-kilter hooks that get lodged in your brain whether you want them to or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Worldwide\u2019&nbsp;doesn\u2019t clean things up so much as it sharpens them. The chaos is still there \u2014 it\u2019s just more focused.
