Montreal\u2019s alt-pop gems FLEECE are back with their brand new single\u00a0How Far Would You Go<\/a><\/em>\u2014a dreamy, groove-soaked track that glows with the rush of fresh love and the vulnerability of self-discovery. It lands alongside the official announcement of their upcoming album\u00a0\u2018TORNADO,\u2019 out October 1st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song, produced by Gus Van Go (Metric, The Beaches, Arkells), is a sparkling burst of psychedelic pop that perfectly balances lyrical honesty with irresistible polish. It\u2019s playful, emotional, and carries a pulse that feels both feather-light and deeply grounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontperson Matthew Ryan Rogers shares that the song was born out of a moment of uncertainty: \u201cWe wrote this song two summers ago when I wasn\u2019t sure if I wanted to be touring and doing the whole band thing anymore. Musically though, the song is quite the opposite\u2014it\u2019s got spark and it\u2019s just pure fun. I really love the contrast between the lyrics and music on this one. For me, this is the closest we\u2019ve come to writing a pop song\u2014the lyrics are honest, and the production is tight.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How Far Would You Go<\/em> follows FLEECE\u2019s May 2025 single So Much Better Now<\/em>, which marked a new chapter for the band\u2014one rooted in stillness, clarity, and intention after years of constant touring and digital noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formed in Montreal in the mid-2010s, FLEECE have carved out a reputation for heartfelt songwriting, fluid genre-blending, and magnetic live shows built on trust and chosen family.
